Current situation of Teaching improvement and EHEA adaptation plan
MEJORA DOCENTE Y EEES.jpgIn this phase, the reform works of the building for the International Graduate Center (IPC), which will be located on Las Llamas Campus which belongs to UIMP have been completed and progress has been made in setting up a joint Commission to promote and follow it up.

In terms of quality and teaching improvement, the Doctorate School (EDUC) stands out; this is the first School of its kind in Spain, with a Mention of Excellence from the Education Dept. for 11 of its 23 (2011) UC doctoral programmes, as well as the awards granted to the subjects in the Open-CourseWare, which is strengthened as a tool of transcendence in the internationalization of the UC, obtaining several awards at an international level.

On the other hand, the Education Programme and Language Capability during this academic year is consolidated as a major milestone in the internationalization of CCI, since it has been consolidated with the participation of all the University groups: Students, Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) and also Administrative Staff (PAS). Therefore, we have to emphasize the launch of the first edition of the Vaughan Programme "Towards Excellent English", in which almost 500 students have taken part and 107 teachers have already been accredited to give their classes in English.

Finally, in the field of Virtualization of Teaching Offers, the relationship between CCI and Valdecilla Virtual Hospital has meant that UC students of Medicine and Nursing can benefit from the methodology and equipment to carry out work experience with simulated patients during three consecutive academic years, with a total of 32 sessions per year. It's an opportunity which is not frequently used in Spanish schools and which has a lot to do with the teaching model the European Higher Education Area promotes.
